Better Chinese Weekly Summer Reading Deals

What’s a better way to prepare for the school year than to read exciting and interesting books about Chinese language and culture. As we all know, reading is an adventure, a learning experience, and a gateway to ideas and places that we may not otherwise know about. A child’s imagination is sparked when he/she is absorbed in the activity of reading and at the same, sparks his/her creative powers. Reading also evokes an array of emotions and feelings within us. We are able to laugh, think, relate, and remember as we read creative stories, classics, and cultural excerpts.

Help Trace Elementary School in San Jose

Dear Friends,

On the way to work one morning, the news came through on the radio. It was later being called arson by the San Jose fire marshal. What a horrible act?!

Our good friend, John McAfee, reached out to me and asked me if there are anything we can do to help rebuild the library. His niece and nephew attended the school. Of course!

Happy Fourth of July!

Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend in the US. Lots of BBQ and gathering of friends over the summer. Of course, it’s also time for educators to invigorate their passions and for students to focus their studies. Many StarTalk programs over the summer aimed at just that. I look forward to visiting many StarTalk initiatives this summer for any feedback educators may have for our curricular materials.
